I made the crab dip as an appetizer for our Sunday family dinner. I made two mistakes. First, I didn’t toast the almonds. I think that definitely would have improved the look of the dip, if not the flavor. As it is, it looks a little pale. I think I might add a little paprika if I make it again. The second mistake was to only leave it in the oven for 15 minutes as called for in the recipe. My sister was cooking and she needed the oven, so I relinquished it. The dip could have been hotter. It was still enjoyed by the gang who declared it a winner.
