Beach Bag Book Sale

In addition to our annual book sale in September, the Friends also host a sale  featuring “beach reading”: mystery, fiction, romance and childrens books–all paperback–for $1 each.

The sale will take place on the front sidewalk of the library from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, May 19th, 2012. Refreshments will also be available to purchase with all proceeds benefiting the library. Hope to see you there!

Third Annual Garden Tour

Mark your calendars for the third annual Friends of the HTFL garden tour, scheduled for Saturday, June 16th, 2012 from 11am – 3pm. Do you, or does anyone you know, have a great garden nestled away in the backyard? We would love to hear from you! We’re on the look out for volunteers who would be willing to open their gates to respectful viewers and much adoration from fellow gardeners and neighbors.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the tour, available at the front desk of the library.

Book Sale Sorting

We’re always looking for helpers to sort the donated books for our book sale in the library basement on the last Monday of the month at 6pm. Join us!

We’re happy to accept your donations as well. Please read our donation policy carefully because we will have to throw out books that don’t meet these requirements. Many thanks.

Pick up a Cookbook!

Purchase a tote bag together with a cookbook for $15! Pick up both at the front desk of the library and show your support. These two items make great gifts to the library lover in your life.

A great recipe book compiled by The Friends Of the Haverford Library! Recipes were submitted by your friends and neighbors and represent their favorite tried and true recipes! Packed with 385 recipes as well as helpful cooking hints and pictures of local landmarks, it makes the perfect holiday gift, hostess gift, or a great treat to welcome new neighbors!
